About the event

Back by popular demand, Freestanding Communities is returning to campus to deliver our Community Health Outreach Program - Opioid Overdose Recognition & Reversal Program to the STEM COMMUNITY at the University of New Orleans. Participants will learn the effects of opioids on the body, signs of someone experiencing an opioid overdose, medications available to reverse such effects, and steps to treat individuals suspected of experiencing an opioid overdose. As a bonus, each participant will receive associated materials and two doses of NARCAN. #neighboring
