About the event

Freestanding Communities is honored to deliver our Community Health Outreach Program - Stop The Bleed Basic Hemorrhage Control Course to students at Loyola University. Participants will learn the importance of conducting a scene size-up and personal safety; basic human anatomy and identifying sources of bleeding; and methods of controlling massive hemorrhaging utilizing direct pressure, tourniquets, wound packing techniques. As a bonus, they will also learn how to identify, prevent, and treat a pneumothorax. Each participant will receive associated materials and Stop The Bleed Course completion certificate. #neighboring
